  • The program helps youth meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, offers a broad array of enrichment activities that help their social, emotional, and behavioral development, and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating youth.

State-Aided Institutions (SAI) Program FY 2026

Number of Anticipated Awards: 60–65

  • The purpose of the SAI Program is to fund nonprofit organizations that provide unique, educational experiences to students and teachers that cannot be replicated in classrooms. These educational experiences are aligned to Maryland's curricular and educational priorities.
  • Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing and that provide direct service to Maryland students and teachers.
